“How to WordPress: The basics” – Part 1 of 2
An introduction to creating your own website (or blog) using WordPress. At the end of this series you should have an understanding of how WordPress works and be able to create a basic site.
Each part will be 2 hours:
In part 1 (November 7th) we will: learn about what WordPress is and see who uses it, get acquainted with the WordPress dashboard, discover the WordPress settings panel, learn about the different content types and how to add content, including images and video.
In part 2 (January 9th) we will: add and manage menus and sidebar widgets, checkout more settings and learn how to adjust your site setup, create and manage users, look at the resources available on wordpress.org, learn how to install and manage plugins.
Presented by Rick Radko a developer and designer with a passion for finding solutions to difficult design problems.
