November 2016 WordPress Meet-Up

Beginner’s Introduction to SEO with Yoast Plugin

WordPress makes it easy for beginners to get a website up and running on the web, but what happens next? What can you do to attract traffic to your website? You may have heard about Search Engine Optimization (SEO), but what does it mean? How can you quickly take advantage of it with your new website?

This session gives a brief introduction to SEO, but will mostly focus on the practical steps needed to implement SEO using the Yoast SEO plugin. The Yoast SEO plugin has more than one million active installs making it one of the most popular WordPress plugins.

Join us at the next meet up to see how to install the Yoast SEO plugin, and use it to for your traffic generation needs.

Presented by David Mackey, who is a Digital Marketing Consultant based in Kanata. He has years of experience building and supporting multi-tiered server applications and telecommunication systems.
